During your Pokémon GO Community Days in May, if you evolve Glutexo into Glurak, it will learn the powerful Blast Burn. This info was provided by a Japanese Pokémon YouTuber, who is now sharing it with players.
On the YouTube channel of GamesWith, Yamada introduced the new move Blast Burn in Pokémon GO. He received the information and image materials from Niantic and is allowed to share them with the community.
Blast Burn
- is a Fire-type attack
- has 2 bars as a charged attack
- and deals 100 damage per bar.
How strong is Blast Burn?
Reddit user ShepCT summarizes the strength of Blast Burn in the following table. It shows how strong the attack is compared to other movesets of Glurak.
The values are based on data from another exclusive Community Day attack – Flora Statue. If Blast Burn has the same attack duration in the game, the values are as follows:
Notes:
- “DPS” stands for Damage per Second.
- Cycle-DPS is a specific DPS value. It indicates the damage per second of an attack cycle. A cycle would often be using the fast attack until enough energy for the charged attack is available, and then using it. Because executing the attacks takes time, this value is a more accurate source for players than the “pure” DPS value.
- “TTFA” stands for Time To First Activation. That is the minimum time you need to fight with this moveset before a bar for the charged attack is filled and you can use it.
In this table, the values for Blast Burn already look strong. Blast Burn will be a good alternative to Heat Wave and Fire Blast.
