In line with the Water Festival, there are also new raid bosses in Pokémon GO. Many of these are Water type and can be shiny.
This is what the new bosses revolve around: The majority of the new raid bosses are Water type. After all, Niantic has already announced the new bosses along with the Water event.
A total of 12 out of 21 raid bosses can be shiny, and some of them are quite useful in battle.

Which Pokémon are worth it? There is no strong Water attacker among the raid bosses. However, there are some Pokémon that are not of this type but are strong.
This includes Machomei or Despotar. They are among the best attackers of their type. The legendary Pokémon Rayquaza should also be interesting for every player.
This Pokémon is otherwise very rare: Outside of an event, Perlu is an extremely rare Pokémon. Whoever missed the limited research with the monster can still secure some candies here. Besides the raids, Perlu can also be found in quests.
What shinies are there? The list of possible shinies is long. The following Pokémon can also appear in their shiny form:
- Jurob
- Krabby
- Loturzel
- Wingull
- Wailmer
- Barschwa
- Perlu
- Alola-Raichu
- Alola-Knogga
- Absol
- Rayquaza
How long will the bosses be available? These raid bosses will be active until the end of the Water event. This ends on August 30th. So you have 7 days to fight.
After that, there will again be the old raid bosses for a few days. Starting September 2nd, new bosses will come, when the legendary cat-like creatures return.
