When does the Spotlight Hour start? The Spotlight Hour on August 5th starts at 6:00 PM. It ends at 7:00 PM, and the usual spawns will appear again.
Which Pokémon is included? Swablu is a Fairy-type Pokémon that can evolve into Altaria. However, you need to do a bit of work: you need a lot of berries to evolve Swablu.
What bonus is there? During the Spotlight Hour, you will receive double Stardust for every catch.
Is the Spotlight Hour with Swablu worth it?
An important point: Currently, the “Sweet Swarm” event is also running, in which Swablu has an increased shiny chance, and the event will also remain active through the Spotlight Hour. It is still unclear whether the increased shiny chance will be disabled during the Spotlight Hour. If not, you have a very good chance of catching a shiny Swablu here.
Is Swablu strong? Unfortunately, no. And Altaria isn’t either. As fighters, you should rather rely on the best attackers in Pokémon GO. Swablu and Altaria are not among them, not even in the PvP league.
Is the event worth it? If the shiny chance remains increased, the hour is definitely worth it to expand the shiny dex by one Swablu and Altaria. However, the hour is also good for anyone in urgent need of Stardust – because you can collect it here effectively.
If you are only looking for a new attacker, you can easily skip the hour.
