On the evening of July 14th, there are login issues with Pokémon GO. Once again, accounts of the Pokémon Trainer Club are affected.
Players of Pokémon GO have been complaining about login issues since around 7:30 PM. Particularly affected are those players who use the Pokémon Trainer Club (PTC) as their login method. Niantic is aware of the issues and is already working on a solution.
Update: The login issues have now been resolved and you should be able to log in again.

Once again, the login servers of the Pokémon Trainer Club have been affected. In recent months, there have been frequent issues here that kept players from gaming. Niantic had actually wanted to fix these problems in a patch, but they are occurring again. Users logging in via their Google account are currently experiencing no major login issues.

The developers are already aware of the issues and are currently working on finding a solution. On Twitter, Pokémon GO states that they are aware of the login problems with the Pokémon Trainer Club:
