The legendary birds were supposed to disappear again from Pokémon GO. But at an event in Europe, they are appearing again.
A few months ago, the first legendary Pokémon visited us in Pokémon GO. For the one-year anniversary in summer, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Lugia appeared in special raids. However, the birds were only in the game for a short time and then disappeared again.
Now they are surprisingly appearing again in Europe. But to find them, you need to be on the move in Copenhagen.
Update 07.10. – 19:30: Reports on Reddit indicate that all legendary birds were spotted. They are said to have disappeared again.
Articuno and Moltres in Copenhagen
One of the safari events is currently taking place at the Fisketorvet shopping center in Copenhagen (Denmark). During these events, trainers present can catch rare Pokémon.
Having had several safari events in the past, the same principle was expected for future events. Same monsters, same rewards – just like usual.
But the big surprise is happening now in Copenhagen. Suddenly, the legendary birds Articuno and Moltres, which last visited us in summer, are reappearing. There is still no sign of Zapdos. Originally, the birds were replaced in September by the legendary beasts Entei, Raikou, and Suicune.
It was clear that the legendary birds would not stay away from Pokémon GO forever. But probably no one in the trainer community expected such an early return. Especially not without a special announcement or a teaser from Niantic on Twitter or Facebook.
According to initial reports, Lugia raids are also appearing in the event cities. Every trainer can participate in the raids; no ticket is required. You just need to be in the city.
We are unsure whether this action was “so” intended by Niantic and if the legendary birds will visit other cities soon.
Soon there is the Halloween event in Pokémon GO – Are you looking forward to it?
