How do you defeat and counter the legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO? A Geowaz is a good choice for the upcoming battles!
The legendary Pokémon are among the strongest monsters in the game. It won’t be easy to defeat or even catch these monsters. However, the community has already thought about which Pokémon counters give you the best chances against the legendary birds.

Arcticuno, Moltres, and Zapdos counters – What is effective?
Recently, Niantic introduced the legendary Pokémon that we can expect soon in Pokémon GO with a cool trailer. These include Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Ho-oh, Lugia, and even Mewtwo. Due to the trailer and the new downloads that are already running in the background of the new update 0.69.0, we should soon expect the legendary birds. And probably even in the rare shiny form.
In battle against these birds, you should choose a Pokémon that can take them on. Of course, you want to win and have a chance to catch it. As it turns out, Geowaz is a good choice in the fight against Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Its move set with Stone Edge is effective against the birds. Geowaz is a ground/rock Pokémon that has a maximum CP value of 2916 – with an attack value of 211. As a rock type, Geowaz is effective against Articuno, Moltres, and Lugia. Zapdos is not very effective against ground Pokémon, so here the type advantage is back on Geowaz’s side.
For good moves, you need Rock Slide, Stone Edge, or Rock Throw – these are strong attacks that can help you in battles against the legendary Pokémon. So if you have “leftover” stardust and are still looking for a good counter against these legendary birds, you should power up a Geowaz. Probably not everyone has a Geowaz that they can level up. In some places, this monster simply appears rarely. Other top attackers against the legendary monsters are Tyranitar (well, not everyone has that) and Ampharos.
But even monsters that appear more frequently can be effective depending on the opponent. Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon are good choices depending on the encounter. Dragonite can also be chosen as a good attacker.
