A ring will be available in Japan starting tomorrow, allowing you to wear the Pokémon GO Plus on your finger. This is what the curious invention looks like.
There will soon be a new Pokémon GO accessory specifically developed for the GO Plus. It is a ring to which you can attach and control the Plus gadget. It will initially be released in Japan tomorrow – whether there will be a global release remains uncertain.
Pokémon GO Plus Ring
The new ring for the GO Plus gadget will be available in Japan starting tomorrow, July 15. It costs 400 Japanese Yen – it may sound like a lot, but it’s only about 3€ when converted. At this price, it’s clear that the GO Plus gadget is not included.
The special feature of this ring is that you will no longer wear the Pokémon GO Plus on your wrist with a strap or clipped to your pants, but “within reach” on your finger. Whether this purchase is “worth it” must be decided by each individual.
Additionally, there will be visual changes that come with the purchase of a GO Plus or a ring starting July 15 (in Japan) – stickers! With these, you can make the GO Plus look like a Super, Hyper, or Master Ball.
What is a Pokémon GO Plus?
With the GO Plus gadget, you can easily catch Pokémon or collect items from PokéStops without actively using your smartphone. You simply connect the small gadget to your smartphone via Bluetooth and register the little helper in the game.
Once the connection is successful, you will be notified by a vibration alert or a light from the drop-shaped piece of technology. Catching or collecting happens with a simple press of a button.
