The last Spotlight Hour of the month is coming up in Pokémon GO. MeinMMO has looked at which content it brings and whether it’s worth it.
What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is a short, 60-minute event that takes place every Tuesday in Pokémon GO. During this time, at least one Pokémon is in the spotlight, accompanied by a bonus.
In the last Spotlight Hour in September 2025, Stoutland will be waiting for you. This Pokémon comes from Generation 3 and has the types Steel and Rock. It can evolve into Steelix and then into Registeel.
Spotlight Hour on September 30, 2025 – Start and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? The event starts as always at 6:00 PM. It ends again an hour later at 7:00 PM.
What bonus is active? If you send Pokémon to the Professor during the event, you will receive double the amount of candies. The bonus applies to all Pokémon and not just Stoutland.
Can you catch Shiny Stoutland? Yes, you may also stumble upon the Shiny variant of Stoutland. It should be noted that the chances are not additionally increased during the Spotlight Hour.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Registeel itself is not considered one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO. However, you can use this Pokémon in its Shadow or Mega form as a Steel attacker. If you are only missing the corresponding candies for such specimens, you can optimally use the event for that.
In the Super League, Stoutland and its evolutions are not suitable at all. For this, you should better rely on other Pokémon.
If you have accumulated some Pokémon in your box that you want to send to the Professor, this event is perfect for getting double the amount of candies. If you pre-mark the Pokémon with a tag, sending them during the event will be very quick.
