In Pokémon GO raids, every second counts. However, there is currently a problem.
What is the problem? Currently, some raids are experiencing an issue where the raid “freezes” when all your Pokémon are defeated.
You should be transported directly to the team switch screen as soon as your last Pokémon is knocked out. Then you could jump back into the raid with a new team and continue fighting the boss.
However, there can be a delay that costs valuable seconds. In such a case, those seconds may be precisely what you need at the end of the raid battle.
Problem meets Rayquaza Day – Niantic responds
Over the weekend, the Mega Raid event with Mega Rayquaza took place. The legendary dragon is a highly sought-after Pokémon, and many trainers attempted to obtain the “Meteorite” over the weekend to transform Rayquaza into its Mega form.
However, as reported in the Pokémon GO community on Reddit, some trainers had to deal with the freeze issue specifically this weekend. They report that they were able to rejoin the raid by restarting the game – even in remote raids. Some trainers also received a new raid pass from support when things went wrong with the raid.
Nevertheless, the “freezing” is a problem. Niantic has addressed the issue via social media.
On “X”, the official account of Niantic Support states, translated from English: “Trainers, please note that there may be a delay of about 10 seconds before you can participate in a raid battle again after all your Pokémon have been defeated. We are currently working to fix this issue.”
