The 4th generation could enter Pokémon GO as soon as this week. This comes from a source that has already leaked another event correctly.
A new leak: A leak appeared on Reddit that claims to know something about a evolution event. The event supposedly includes more XP, new evolution items, and evolutions from Generation 4.
Take with caution: We want to emphasize that these are not official information from Niantic. We are sharing the information from the leak. It is unclear whether such an event will actually take place or not – none of this has been officially confirmed.
This is how the event is supposedly going to look
What supports the leak? Monsters from the fourth generation of Pokémon are supposed to enter Pokémon GO through an event. This comes from a source on Reddit that previously correctly predicted the water event.
What goes against the leak? So far, nothing in the APK of Pokémon GO indicates such an event. Furthermore, the source itself says that they are not entirely sure about the shared information.
These bonuses have been leaked
According to the mentioned source, there are supposed to be the following bonuses in the game during the Gen-4 event:
- The Gen-4 evolutions of monsters that are already in the game. Specifically mentioned were: Magbrant (evolution of Magmar), Evoltek (evolution of Elektek), and Rihornior (evolution of Rizeros)
- New evolution items
- Double experience points for evolving monsters and for spinning Photo Disks at PokéStops
- Maximum Pokémon storage increased to 2000
- Increased distribution rate of evolution items from PokéStops
- Increased spawning of Pokémon evolutions in the wild
- Evolutions from the 3rd generation can be caught in the wild (except for Milotic)
- New quests that give evolution items as rewards
- New raids with Pokémon that require evolution items (example: Scizor)
- In the shop, there are supposed to be new packages with lucky eggs and raid passes
- Before the start of the event, there is supposed to be a new update
Community shows skepticism towards the leak: Most of you would probably be glad about such a Gen-4 event. However, the community is still unsure about this leak and does not really trust it for the time being. This information should be taken with caution until there is an official announcement from Niantic.
