In Pokémon GO you can send and receive gifts from friends. But what can you receive?
Gifts in Pokémon GO: Trainers can now be rewarded with gifts when spinning Photo Discs at Gyms or PokéStops. However, you do not open them yourself, but must send them to a friend who can then open them. Conversely, a friend can also send gifts to you.
What is in the gifts? They can contain potions, revives, berries, and special Pokémon eggs. In the following overview, we will show you the contents.
Gifts in Pokémon GO – Friends Feature
A selection from the following table can be found in the gift boxes of Pokémon GO.
Gift packages: These contents are bundled in small packages – There are always 2 packages. For example, one package with Poké Balls and one with Hyper Potions. Then you receive 3 Poké Balls and 1 Hyper Potion upon opening. These packages can occur in duplicates. That means, you can also receive 6 Poké Balls from one package if you receive the Poké Ball package twice.
Everyone benefits from gifting: If you give a friend a gift box, it increases the friendship level between you and your friend. Keep in mind that the level increase can only happen once per day for each friend.
If you have no space, there is no 7KM egg: If you already have 9 eggs, an Alola egg will not fit in your inventory. You will then not receive one from a gift. The situation is different for gift boxes – you can have a maximum of 10 in your inventory.
Limited gifts per day: You cannot open unlimited gifts in one day. The limit is 20 gift boxes in one day.
Inventory limit: Niantic is still working on the details of the gifts. Therefore, the quantity and contents are still changing. Since June 27, you can store 10 gifts in your inventory.
