Pokémon GO has revealed the Ultra Bonus 2019, bringing bonuses that no trainer could have imagined. Among other things, Shiny Mewtwo and the first Pokémon from Generation 5 are coming.
What is this Ultra Bonus? This event lasts for a full 3 weeks and is the reward for completing the global challenge.
The bonuses were already generally announced a few days ago, but now the details follow.
Ultra Bonus 2019 – Overview of Bonuses
The Ultra Bonus is divided into three different weeks. Each week features its own bonuses that you can receive.
The bonuses come from all directions. There are new Shinies, new Pokémon, new raid bosses, and regional Pokémon.
Week 1 – Johto Journey
What are the bonuses? This week focuses a lot on Pokémon from Generation 2. Here are:
- 10 km Eggs can contain Unown with the letters U L T R and A
- Raikou, Entei, and Suicune return to raids for the week – Also as Shiny
- Shiny Wiesor and Skorgla will be introduced into the game
- Incubators are twice as effective
When are the bonuses available? These bonuses are available from September 2 to September 9. They start and end at 10 PM each day.
Week 2 – Global Challenge, Global Egg Pokémon
What are the bonuses? This week sees the return of regional Pokémon from Generation 1 to the game. The following bonuses are available:
- Kangaskhan, Tauros, Mr. Mime, and Electabuzz hatch from 7 km Eggs – even in their shiny version (this applies until September 23)
- All Deoxys forms appear in normal level 5 raids
- Strong counters against Deoxys will come to the normal raids
- Incubators are twice as effective
When are the bonuses available? These numerous bonuses are available from September 9 to September 16. The regional Pokémon will be available even longer.
Week 3 – A Unova Reveal
What are the bonuses? This week sees the first Pokémon from Generation 5 enter the game. Additionally, a desired Shiny:
- Shiny Mewtwo enters level 5 raids with the special move Psystrike
- New raid bosses that are good counters against Mewtwo will be introduced into the game
- Click, a Pokémon from Generation 5, will appear in raid battles – even as Shiny
- Shiny Shelmet and Druddigon will be available in the wild
- Incubators are twice as effective
When are the bonuses available? This week runs from September 16 to September 23. The Ultra Bonus ends at 10 PM.
