Raid Day with Mega-Tohaido – Content and Tips
What bonuses are available at the event? The event starts with the following bonuses:
- Remote raid limit increased to 20 (from September 7 at 2:00 AM until September 8 at 5:00 AM)
- up to 5 additional free raid passes
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny-Tohaido
Event Ticket: For €5.49, you can purchase an optional ticket. This will give you the following additional bonuses that are active during the raid day:
- up to 8 additional raid passes
- increased chance of XL candies after raids
- 50% more experience points for raids
- double amount of stardust for raids
How to make the most of the event: To fully utilize the free raid passes, you should proceed as follows:
- Visit a gym
- Defeat Mega-Tohaido
- Spin the arena’s disc
- Go to the next gym and repeat the process
You can only receive one additional raid pass after you have used the current one.
What counters are effective? Due to its type combination of Water and Dark, the following types are very effective against Mega-Tohaido:
- Fighting
- Bug
- Grass
- Electric
- Fairy
Therefore, you should bring Pokémon with these types and attacks to defeat Mega-Tohaido. Focus on the best attackers in Pokémon GO. If you have very strong monsters, you might even be able to defeat the monster alone.
