Original report:
What is a Community Day? This event series takes place monthly. During each event for 3 hours, a Pokémon will be found more frequently. Also, the Shiny version of the Pokémon will make its debut, and various bonuses round off the event.
In August, the special Pokémon Trasla will feature. The Psychic and Fairy Pokémon is from Generation 3.
All about the Community Day in August – Start time and bonuses
When: On Saturday, August 3rd, from 4 PM to 7 PM German time
Pokémon of the day: Trasla
Exclusive Move: Synchronoise (exclusive to Gardevoir and Gallade)
Bonus: Eggs hatch 4x faster
Bonus: 3-hour Lures
Additional Bonus: To learn the exclusive move Synchronoise, you can evolve Kirlia until 8 PM
This is important regarding the times: During the summer months, the Community Day runs from 4 PM to 7 PM. Only from September does the event start at 3 PM.
How to make the most of the Community Day
How to make good use of the bonus: The reduction of egg distance should definitely be utilized. Make sure to put the eggs in the incubators only at the beginning of the Community Day so that the distance is actually quartered.
Content-wise, the 7 km eggs are currently the best, as many Shinys await you there. In the other eggs, there are also some Shinys, but the probability is significantly lower.
Try to catch many Pokémon: During the event, Pokémon spawns will be increased again. You will be able to catch especially many Pokémon through the catching trick. This is a bit more cumbersome at first, but much faster than regular catching.
If necessary, travel to a better city: A Community Day is especially worthwhile in places with many PokéStops. It’s worth it to leave your village and visit the neighboring town. Many PokéStops mean many Pokémon and Shinys.
Shiny Trasla, Kirlia, Gardevoir, and Gallade
Will there also be a Shiny version? As usual on Community Day, you will also find new Shinys here. Trasla and its evolutions will make their debut as Shiny in the game.
How likely is a Shiny? On Community Day you have a good chance of getting Shinys. Trasla has a probability of being Shiny of 1 in 25. So you won’t need too much luck.
Gardevoir and Gallade with Synchronoise – What is known?
How powerful will the move be? At first, not much was known about Synchronoise. The move had not been found in the game files yet.
Now, it is known that Synchronoise is a solid move that boosts Gardevoir and Gallade. However, both Pokémon are still not nearly as strong as other Psychic Pokémon. Thus, the move is not truly meta-changing.
How do you get the move? This is only possible through evolution. You must evolve a Kirlia into Gardevoir or Gallade by 8 PM on the event day. This will then learn the move Synchronoise.
Trasla with 100% IV – This much CP it must have
This is how Trasla gets weather boost: The Psychic and Fairy Pokémon is boosted by windy and cloudy weather. Here you can find it up to level 35.
This much CP can Trasla reach: At level 30, Trasla can reach a maximum of 462 CP. This would then have 100% IV. At level 35, it even reaches a smooth 500 CP.
This is how you easily find Trasla with 100% IV: Thanks to the rating system, you can quickly look for good Trasla. If you enter “4*” in the search bar, all Pokémon with 100% IV will be displayed.
If you enter “3*”, you will see all Trasla with IV between 82.2% and 97.8%. All other Trasla can then be quickly sorted out.
These items you need for the Community Day
- Egg Incubators – 9 or more
- To properly make use of the Community Day bonus, you should have enough incubators ready. This way, you can hatch enough eggs.
- Star Pieces – 6 pieces
- Since you’ll likely catch a lot of Pokémon, a Star Piece is worth it. Have 6 pieces ready and you’ll get 1.5 times the amount of Stardust for the entire Community Day.
- Sinnoh Stones
- To get Gallade with the exclusive move, you need a Sinnoh Stone, as that is how Kirlia evolves into Gallade. So do a few Trainer battles beforehand to have Sinnoh Stones on hand.
- Lures – 3 or more
- The three-hour Lures should definitely be utilized. It’s best to ignite a Lure at every PokéStop you will pass repeatedly.
- Balls – At least 200 pieces
- Trasla will not be easy to catch, so you need a good supply of balls. Especially Ultra Balls and Great Balls will be important.
