General Tips for the Stardust Event
The Stardust event is something special. It offers you the chance to quickly fill up your dust supply through everyday actions in the game. Timing is therefore particularly important.
Plan your sessions: To get the most out of the event, you should always have a Star Piece active during your gaming sessions. Since these now last for an hour, you should choose time windows for playing in which you can fully take advantage of that hour.
Second and third evolution levels: These are particularly valuable and bring you a lot of dust with a Star Piece and weather bonus.
Take the free raids: Currently, you receive 3000 Stardust guaranteed from a raid. Every day, you can get a free raid pass by spinning gyms. So, you should definitely use that to collect the 3000 Stardust (4500 with Star Piece).
Hatching eggs: Hatching eggs does not supply you as efficiently with Stardust as raiding does. However, the eggs are worthwhile if you prefer to walk rather than raid. Especially the 10 KM eggs in super incubators are worth the effort. Hatching the 7 KM eggs is not as worthwhile, as you get the same dust amount from the 5 KM eggs.
GO Plus could be worth it: In this Stardust event, you want to perform as many actions as possible that reward you with more Stardust. The Pokémon GO Plus, which helps you catch the monsters, could therefore be a welcome relief for your adventures.

Use the Star Piece before the X-Day bonus: Remember to activate the Star Piece directly at the start of a session. You get more dust for the daily bonus. The 7-day catch bonus currently gives 13950 Stardust.
