A false report about Ho-Oh is circulating on social networks. Furthermore, network errors continue to cause issues in Pokémon GO.
In the past few days, an alleged leak has been circulating through the Trainer community of Pokémon GO. An apparently official email announced a new raid featuring Ho-Oh. As it turns out, this was fake.
Fake circulated on Reddit
The supposed leak was uploaded on Reddit, among other places. It was explained there: The support team from Niantic Japan confirmed that the tests for EX raids with Mewtwo were completed. Additionally, a new EX raid boss would be introduced in December. And it would be none other than Ho-Oh.
This information supposedly comes from an email that the support of the game sent to a Japanese trainer. The news was frequently shared on Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp groups. Players were already excited about a new boss in the EX raids and believed the leak. As it turns out, this is all nonsense.
On Reddit, Niantic employee NianticGeorge explains that he looked at the ticket system and that this “false news” was not sent by Niantic’s support team. So, it is indeed a fake.
When Ho-Oh will be released in Pokémon GO cannot be said at this time. However, we are just as excited as you are.
Further issues after update 0.77.1
The new Pokémon GO update 0.77.1 was supposed to eliminate many errors in the game and improve the player experience for you. However, many trainers are complaining about further issues after the update. Network errors and sudden app crashes are causing frustration.
On Reddit, players are exchanging their experiences and reporting their problems with the new update. User SwarleyThePotato writes that the app behaves like a ticking time bomb when battling in a gym. When taking over a gym, the app regularly crashes.
Player aussieftw-21 writes that he has been kicked out of various gym battles due to network errors. Error numbers 2 and 29 appear frequently for him.
