Niantic confirmed: Along with the first wave of the 5th generation, there will also be some regional Pokémon in Pokémon GO. A total of 5 pieces and some evolutions are waiting for you in certain regions of the world.

How many regional Pokémon are there? So far, 5 different Pokémon are known. 3 of them have further evolutions.
The 5th generation may still have more regional Pokémon. It will come in waves, which is why some of them are not yet available at the start.
Vegimak, Sodamak, and Grillmak
Where can you find the Pokémon? These 3 Pokémon depend on continents. Here you will find them:
- Vegimak: Asia and the Pacific region
- Sodamak: North and South America and Greenland
- Grillmak: Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India
What is available in Germany? Here there is only Grillmak, the Heat Pokémon. The other two monkey Pokémon are only available in other regions.
What is special here: All 3 monkey Pokémon have an evolution. Vegichita, Sodachita, and Grillchita are the names of the evolutions.
Furnifraß and Fermicula
Where can you find the Pokémon? You can find these Pokémon in the same regions as the two forms of Schalellos. The boundary is the border between the western and eastern hemispheres.
- Furnifraß: western hemisphere
- Fermicula: eastern hemisphere
This boundary runs through Greenwich in the United Kingdom. So you can still catch Furnifraß in some parts of Europe.
What is available in Germany? Here you will only find Fermicula. Those who travel a bit in Europe will encounter Furnifraß in western England, Ireland, western France, Spain, and Portugal.
