Niantic has officially announced the Halloween Event 2018 in Pokémon GO. This includes new Shinys, Gen-4 Ghosts, and a new Raid Boss.
Trainers have been eagerly waiting for the announcement of this year’s Halloween Event. Now Niantic has revealed when it starts and what bonuses are in play.
Halloween in Pokémon GO – Start, End, and Bonuses
When does it start? The spooky event starts on the evening of October 23rd in Pokémon GO. In Germany, this is the usual time at 10:00 PM.
How long does the event last? You have a little over a week to take advantage of the bonuses. The Halloween Event in Pokémon GO ends on November 1st at 10:00 PM.
What bonuses are available?
- Special Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild.
- A new Shiny will be released.
- You will receive double candies for catching Pokémon.
- New field research tasks focused on Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon will be added.
- Additionally, new special research projects that are only active for a limited time will be available.
- We have already discussed the new field research and special research featuring Cryogonal when we leaked the Halloween Event.
- A new Raid Boss from the 4th Generation is waiting for you.
Ghosts in the wild: Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon like Drifloon and Skuntank will appear more frequently in the wild. You have the chance to find Shiny Drifloon.
New Raid Boss: In line with this spooky event, Trainers will find the Raid Boss Giratina for the first time in Raid Battles. The legendary Pokémon of Dragon and Ghost type belongs to the 4th generation. With these Pokémon, you can easily counter Giratina.
How long will Giratina stay? The Pokémon will remain longer than the event. You can battle it until November 20th at 10:00 PM.
