What kind of event is this? A Community Day is an event that takes place every month. There is a Pokémon that takes center stage and appears in very high numbers. Additionally, there is an increased chance for shinies and other bonuses during the Community Day.
During the Community Day in October 2024, Strawickl is in the spotlight, which you can catch here for the first time as a shiny. This Pokémon comes from the 5th generation and has the types Bug and Grass. It can evolve into Folikon and then into Matrifol.

Additional content during the Community Day: From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, you still have time to participate in 4*-raids where Folikon awaits you. If you defeat it, more Strawickl will appear around the arena for 30 minutes. These raids cannot be fought with remote raid passes.
For 1 $ (or approximately 1 €), you can buy a ticket that grants you a special research. You can also purchase the ticket in a box for 5.99 €, which additionally includes 10 Ultra Balls and a Charged TM.
Additionally, there are 2 bundles that you can buy with PokéCoins. The cheaper one costs 480 PokéCoins and contains 30 Ultra Balls, one Incense, 3 Super Incubators, and a Lure Module.
The more expensive variant costs 1,350 PokéCoins and rewards you with 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, a Charged TM, and 5 Lucky Eggs.
Who benefits from the Community Day with Strawickl?
For Collectors: Since Strawickl and its evolutions appear as shiny monsters for the first time in this event, collectors should definitely get their money’s worth at this event. The increased chance for shiny Pokémon also means that it shouldn’t be a problem to obtain such an example.
For Battlers: Unfortunately, Strawickl and its evolutions are not among the Pokémon you want in your raid teams. They are not particularly strong and cannot be found in the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
