This June brings you another Community Day for Pokémon GO. Expect Miniras, the Dragon Pokémon from Generation 7. It can evolve into Mediras and then into Grandiras.
The creature will appear in very high numbers during the event and brings strong bonuses like an increased Shiny chance.

Community Day in June 2025 with Miniras – Start & Bonuses of the Event
When? Saturday, June 21, 2025 – From 14:00 to 17:00

More Content of the Community Day: You will receive a free, limited-time research task if you open the game during the Community Day. As a reward, you can receive a Miniras with a special background. The research runs until June 28, 2025, at 22:00.
For $2 (approximately €2), you can also purchase an additional research task. This includes more encounters with Miniras, three of which will have the special background, one Premium Battle Pass, and one special candy.
If you acquire the ticket in the form of the Community Day Hyperbox in the Pokémon GO web store, you will also receive 2 special candies.
Who is the Community Day with Miniras Worth It For?
For Collectors: If you are missing Miniras and its evolutions in either regular or Shiny form, then this event is the perfect opportunity to fill those gaps in your Pokédex.
During the event, Miniras will appear in sufficient numbers, so it shouldn’t be a problem to catch enough specimens and candies. With the increased Shiny chance, you should be able to get the shiny variants without issue.
For Battlers: If you are hoping to get strong new attackers during the Community Day, you will be disappointed. Neither Miniras nor its evolutions are among the best attackers in Pokémon GO for the Battle League or Raids.
The Perfect Preparation for the Community Day in June 2025
Cleaning Up Pokémon Box: If you want to fully take advantage of the Community Day, you need to have enough space in your Pokémon box. Ideally, clean it up before the event to be able to catch many monsters. If space gets tight during the event, use a simple trick to quickly sort out Pokémon.
Collect Enough Items: If you want to catch many Pokémon, you should have enough items on hand. This includes:
- Balls: You need plenty of balls to catch every Miniras that appears.
- Sananaberries: During the event, you get double the amount of candies when you catch Pokémon. If you also use a Sananaberry for a catch, you can even get quadruple the amount of candies for a single catch. With the silver Sananaberry, even more.
- Lure Module and Incense: The items Lure Module and Incense have an increased duration of 3 hours when activated during the event. Both items ensure that you will experience even more encounters with Miniras.
Which Mega Pokémon are Worth It for the Event? If you have a Mega Evolution of the Dragon type active during the event, you will receive an additional candy and extra experience points for each catch. This can make a significant difference with a high number of caught monsters.

- Mega-Dragapult
