Rookidee is waiting for you at the next Community Day in Pokémon GO. We will show you how to make the most of the event.
As September is just around the corner, one of the most popular events in Pokémon GO is still waiting for you this month: the Community Day in August 2025. This time, Rookidee, the Flying Pokémon from Generation 8, is in the spotlight.
It can evolve into Corvisquire and then into Corviknight. In its final evolution, it gains the Steel type in addition to the Flying type.
We have put together how you can best prepare for the event and make the most of it afterwards.

Who Should Attend the Community Day with Meikro?
For Collectors: If you do not currently own Rookidee and its evolutions or want to grab the shiny variants, then this event is the perfect opportunity to snag the specimens.
For Battlers: Rookidee and its evolutions are not among the best attackers in Pokémon GO during raids. However, Corviknight can shine in the battle league. While it ranks 15th in the Great League, it is currently ranked 4th in the Ultra League.
The Perfect Preparation for the Community Day in August 2025
Organize your Pokémon Box: If you want to catch many Rookidee, you should create enough space in your Pokémon Box. This ensures that you can focus on catching the monsters during the event.
If your capacity runs low during the event, use a simple trick to quickly sort Pokémon.
Gather Enough Items: You should also think about having the right items if you want to make the most of the event.
- Balls: No ball, no catch. Gather enough balls before the event to catch every Rookidee.
- Sananabeeren: With the help of a Sananaberry, you can obtain four times the amount of candy for a single catch, thanks to the bonus in the event. Silver Sananaberries even give you one additional candy.
- Lure Module and Incense: Both items last for 3 hours when activated during the event. They ensure that you encounter even more monsters.
What Mega Pokémon are Worth it for the Event? If you have an active Mega Evolution of the Flying type during the event, you can receive even more experience points and candy for each catch. Choose one of the following evolutions to benefit from the bonuses:
- Mega Rayquaza
- Mega Salamence
- Mega Pidgeot
- Mega Charizad Y
Immediately after the Community Day, September begins. And it doesn’t just start with a new season in Pokémon GO, bringing you some new content like monsters and Mega Evolutions, but also directly with 2 events: Pokémon GO starts September with regional monsters and a Mega Evolution
