A new event has been announced for Pokémon GO. In addition to a strong bonus, there is also an increased chance for a new shiny monster.
What kind of event is this? The event celebrating Pokémon Concierge starts on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM and runs until Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 8:00 PM. The name of the event refers to the series Pokémon Concierge, which is streaming on Netflix.
During the event, you can receive a new costumed Pokémon, which even comes with an increased shiny chance waiting for you. A strong attacker and various bonuses are also waiting for you at the event.
All contents of the event
Which costumed Pokémon are available? For the first time in the event, you can obtain Psyduck with a flotation ring. And the chance to catch it as shiny is also directly increased during the event. You can find the monster in the wild.
Additionally, the costumed Psyducks may also have a special background when caught.
What monsters are there in the event? Besides Psyduck, you can also encounter Seel, Shinx*, and other unnamed monsters in the wild. In raids, the following monsters are waiting for you:
In 1-star raids:
- Pikachu*
- Magikarp*
- Shinx*
In 3-star raids:
- Arcanine
- Dragonite
- Luxray
All monsters marked with an * can also be caught as shiny.
If you still need dragon attackers, then Dragonite might be interesting for you. Even though there are many strong dragon attackers in Pokémon GO nowadays and Dragonite has become somewhat weaker because of this, the monster can still be strong if you have deficiencies in this area.
What bonuses are there in the event? In addition to the increased shiny chance for Psyduck and the chance for a special background for the monster, the following 2 bonuses are also active in the event:
- double amount of candies when catching Pokémon
- more frequent gifts from buddy Pokémon
- snapshot surprises with characters and monsters from the series Pokémon Concierge
What other contents are there in the event? The event also features field research where you can obtain event Pokémon, as well as a free limited-time research. This focuses on catching and photographing Pokémon and brings you further encounters with event Pokémon, stardust, and additional rewards.
For $4.99 (approximately 5 €), you can purchase another limited-time research. Here, you will receive, among other things, 5,000 stardust, an event avatar pose, and encounters with costumed Psyducks.
With the start of the event, you can receive a new free avatar item in the in-game shop as well as get event stickers from PokéStops and gifts.
