From this point onward, the event bonuses are active, and you will earn more experience points for various actions in the game. You will also encounter more Ice and Fire-type Pokémon in the wild on your adventures.
Which Fire and Ice Pokémon you can find more often will be shown in this overview.
More Experience Points (XP) during the Solstice Event
In a leak from last week, we already learned that there will be more Fire and Ice-type Pokémon in the wild. Niantic officially confirmed this and announced additional rewards and bonuses:
- Especially large experience point bonuses are available for trainers who catch a Pokémon with great, excellent, or fantastic throws. There will also be many additional XP for curveballs and catches with just one throw. The developers did not specify exact numbers but mentioned especially large bonuses.
- More XP for hatching: This information was recently found on the official Niantic website. Apparently, trainers receive additional experience points for hatching eggs during the solstice event.
- Discount in the shop: To better utilize the new XP bonuses, there are lucky eggs in the shop at a 50% discount.
Fire and Ice Event End
For one week you can utilize the various bonuses of the solstice event in Pokémon GO and enhance your accounts with the additional experience points. The event ends on Tuesday, June 20, at 1:00 PM PDT (approximately 10:00 PM German time).
In the past, developers often kept the events active for a few hours longer and gave trainers more time to take advantage of the rewards and increased spawns. It is possible that the solstice event will not end exactly at 10:00 PM. We will find out next week.
