In Pokémon GO data-miners have unearthed new assets showing four Pokémon that are likely to come to the game soon. Which ones are they?
Where does the info come from? The “Pokéminers” shared a new find in the Pokémon GO subreddit “TheSilphRoad”.
The Pokéminers are a group of data miners who regularly search for new assets and content and present these before they land in the game.
So, this is a leak, not official information from Niantic. Therefore, the data might still be changed or removed.
However, it is likely that these 4 monsters will ultimately land in the game sooner or later. And especially one of these monsters is already causing fear and dread among some players.
These 4 new monsters are shown by the find
These are the monsters: A total of four monsters and their shiny variants have been added. They include:
- Lunala: Lunala is a legendary Psychic/Ghost Pokémon. It is one of the possible evolutions of Cosmog, which you can obtain in the current “cosmic companion” quest . It represents the moon and is the counterpart to Solgaleo.
- Kaguron: Kaguron also belongs to the seventh generation and is of Steel and Flying type. The curious design might reveal it: this is again an Ultra Beast.
- Garstella: This is a Water/Poison Pokémon from the seventh generation, i.e., the games Sun and Moon. It fits with the current Season of Light and the Sun/Moon hints from current quests.
- Aggrostella: This is the evolution of Garstella and also a Poison/Water monster. This monster is the one currently causing remarkable reactions among players.
What is the problem with Aggrostella? Many comments on reddit revolve around the Pokémon. A brief overview:
- “Aggrostella comes to destroy another game,” writes one user (via reddit).
- “Hahahaha, oh no” (via reddit).
- “Oh boy, the monster that made me stop competing” (via reddit).
- “Ugh, I hate Aggrostella in the MSG competitive scene. I’m not looking forward to it dominating the GBL meta too” (via reddit).
Aggrostella is a massively defensive Pokémon that has made a name for itself as a brutal defender in the competitive scene of the main Pokémon games.
There it also has the “Regenerator” ability, thanks to which it can regenerate health points – but this probably won’t matter in Pokémon GO.
Its moveset will be interesting – for it could become a very dangerous opponent in Pokémon GO for popular meta monsters like Azumarill.
However, it remains to be seen how exactly Aggrostella performs in Pokémon GO – and whether it will also transfer to the PvP scene of the mobile game.
Speaking of new Pokémon: Apparently a new monster is coming to the game that will finally make postcards more interesting.
