In Pokémon GO you can purchase a €1 ticket for a special research during Community Day with Starling. We at MeinMMO have looked at what tasks and rewards are hidden behind it and whether buying the ticket is worth it.
What kind of ticket is this? Today, on July 17, 2022, the Community Day with Starling takes place in Pokémon GO. As you know from past events of this kind, there will be a special research again this time.
This will center around the Normal and Flying Pokémon. However, to access it, you will need a paid event ticket.
Where can you get the event ticket? You can find the event ticket for special research for just under €1 in the in-game shop of the game. It is listed at the top of the shop in the “Global Events” category under the name “Field Notes: Starling”.

Where did we get the information? Even though you have to be a little patient until the start of Community Day here in Germany, the event has already started in other parts of the world due to the time difference.

Is the event ticket for Starling worth it?
Things to consider: The items you receive as part of the special research for Starling have a significantly higher value compared to the ticket price. If you were to buy the items individually in the shop, you would pay:
- For two Smokes you would pay 80 coins in the shop, which is about €0.80
- The Rocket Radar has a value of 200 coins, which is around €2.00
- A Lucky Egg costs 80 coins in the shop, so about €0.80
Additionally, there are also Balls, Rare Candies, important Stardust, valuable experience points, and regular and silver Razz Berries.
Who should buy the ticket? If you were planning to get the items from the in-game shop anyway, you should consider purchasing the event ticket. This way, you can save a lot of coins and also, the tasks are relatively quick to complete.
On the other hand, if you have no interest in the items, you can comfortably play without a ticket. Because it has no effect on spawns and bonuses during Community Day.
