After Team Rocket returned to Pokémon GO, Niantic also released a trailer. In it, players find important details hinting at Giovanni.
What was found? If you take a close look at the trailer, you can recognize a silhouette of a familiar Rocket grunt at a certain point: Giovanni.
He is the leader of Team Rocket and has appeared in various console games. He is currently absent in Pokémon GO, but many fans suspect that this may change soon.
This hints at Giovanni in Pokémon GO
See the hints here: On one hand, the person in the trailer has a stature very similar to Giovanni:
Furthermore, at the end of the trailer it says: “The earth…next I will wreak havoc there!” This would fit with Giovanni’s past statements. He said at the end of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon: “Well…which world should I unleash my evil plans on next?”
What could Giovanni do? After all, he is the leader of Team Rocket and is therefore likely very powerful. Some players suspect that he could bring legendary Shadow Pokémon into the game.
After all, it was Giovanni who created Mewtwo with his money. It is quite possible that Mewtwo or other legendary Pokémon could come into the game in their Shadow version through Giovanni.
Other players suspect that Giovanni will have his Nidoking with him. This was one of the most well-known Pokémon of the Rocket boss.
