You want to evolve Hisui-Baldorfish into Pokémon GO to Myriador? Then you should take advantage of the current event.
What is changing? Getting Myriador is usually not that easy. To evolve Hisui-Baldorfish, you need not only 50 corresponding candies but also have to meet a requirement: Win 10 raids while Hisui-Baldorfish is your buddy.
But now the new Hisui event has started, and with it comes a change.
As announced by Niantic Support on social media, the difficulty has been reduced. Now you only need to win one raid while Hisui-Baldorfish is your buddy. If you still have the 50 candies, nothing is stopping you from evolving into Myriador.
And this might work out well for some of you.
Why should I evolve Hisui-Baldorfish into Myriador?
That’s why it’s worth it right now: On the occasion of the Hisui celebration, new collector challenges have also been activated. One of them is called “Shock, Flames, and Thorns”.
Here, you need to catch a Hisui-Voltobal, -Fukano, and -Baldorfish. Afterwards, you should evolve them. Especially with Hisui-Baldorfish, this would not have been that easy without the changes, as the challenge will expire in about five days.
Due to the change, you now have a good opportunity to accomplish this.
Is Myriador strong? Unfortunately, not really. It is not a particularly strong raid attacker, and therefore not very helpful as an arena attacker. In the PvP league, it basically has no real place.
Therefore, Myriador is more a Pokémon for collectors who want to complete their Pokédex. At the same time, its weakness might also be a reason why some players may not have bothered to evolve it yet. Thus, the event is a good opportunity to catch up on that.
What’s next in Pokémon GO? First, the Hisui event is running, which has very strong bonuses overall. Especially the bonuses on XP and Stardust are likely to interest many players. Also, you can catch Hisui-Zorua right now, which disguises itself as your buddy Pokémon. And afterwards? After that, it continues with the remaining events in July 2025 in Pokémon GO.
