The next event in Pokémon GO starts tonight! This is how the evolution event was announced, bringing new Shinies and various bonuses for special evolutions.
When does the event run? Tonight, on December 5th at 10 PM, it starts. The event runs until December 12th at 10 PM, so exactly 7 days.
During the event, there will be a special raid day and many bonuses related to evolution items and their Pokémon.
Everything you need to know about the evolution event
What are the bonuses? This time, the list of bonuses is particularly long. Here is an overview:
- Pokémon that evolve in special ways will appear more in the wild, in raids, and in field research. This includes Onix, Eevee, Roselia, and Burmy.
- Pokémon with special evolutions like Snorlax, Scyther, Togetic, or Spoink will appear in raids.
- Special 2 km eggs can be collected. They contain Pokémon like Pidove, Burmy, Barschwa, or Wonneira.
- You can obtain evolution items from field research and raids.
- Shiny Burmy will be available for the first time in the game.
- All lures will last for one hour. This includes the moss, magnet, and glacier modules.
- Double XP for evolving Pokémon.
What can be said about the spawns? There are many Pokémon that have special evolutions. This includes, of course, all monsters that can evolve with an item.
Pokémon like Burmy can evolve into Burmadame and Moterpel. A similar Pokémon is, for example, Schneppke. Wadribie would also fit, as it only evolves one gender.
Will there be the Einall Stone? Currently, the Einall Stone is in high demand in Pokémon GO. As various sources confirm, this evolution item will be available in special field research.
Besides the Einall Stone, there will surely also be all other evolution items available through quests or raids.
What does Shiny Burmy look like? Here, you need to look closely because the difference is barely noticeable. The shiny version is just a bit lighter and bluer on the face.
You can recognize it well with Moterpel. This is blue in the shiny version at the orange spots.
Special Raid Day on December 7
When is the Raid Day? The event starts this Saturday. Between 11 AM and 2 PM German time, you will encounter raids more frequently.
What raids are there? The Raid Day revolves around the starters of the 1st generation. You will encounter the various levels of the starter Pokémon from the 1st generation in the 1-star, 2-star, and 4-star raids.
The special thing will be that you can meet all stages of the starter Pokémon as shiny. So you might encounter a shiny Venusaur or Wartortle.
What other bonuses are there? You will receive up to 5 free raid passes. This works just like on other raid days, and you will receive the passes one after another, not all at once. After the event ends, there will be no more free passes.
