Which events are worth it in April?
The theme events:
- April 1 Event: In previous years, Niantic has come up with fun events that turned Pokémon GO upside down for a short time. In 2021, Team Rocket only battled with Grimer on this day. One of the craziest ideas for April 1 was this event with pixel graphics that confused trainers. On April 1, 2022, Niantic says that “a mysterious event begins”
- Rocket Team Excursion (April 3 to April 7): During the event, there is supposed to be increased activity from Team GO Rocket.
- Spring Event (April 12 to April 18): During the event, the arrival of spring will be celebrated. All details about the Spring Event 2022.
- Earth Week (April 20 to April 25): In the event week, Niantic wants to learn more about the importance of sustainability together with you. A new Pokémon from the Alola region is supposed to appear in Pokémon GO for the first time.
Raids: In April, you have a large selection in raids. For the first time, Tapu Lele enters the game and can be battled in the 5-star raids. Unfortunately not as Shiny. Additionally, you will encounter Thundurus and Landorus in their Incarnate forms, which you can encounter as Shiny. Exciting is also the previously unannounced Mega Pokémon – could it fit in with the found legendary Mega Pokémon?
Spotlight Hours: The Pokémon selection for the Spotlight Hours is rather average. However, there is hope for a new Shiny. The Spotlight Hour on April 5 with Stunky overlaps with the Rocket Team Excursion. It is quite possible that Shiny Stunky will be released at that time. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
