In Pokémon GO today kicks off the event “United Triumph.” This event focuses on global challenges and bonuses.
When does the event take place? The event “United Triumph” starts on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 00:00 and runs until Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 08:59.
The event revolves around three global challenges inspired by the three teams Courage, Intuition, and Wisdom in Pokémon GO, to which most of you are likely to have joined. However, there is a segment of trainers who have chosen to side against these three teams and for the unofficial Team Harmony.
How does the event progress? The three global challenges will be activated one after the other. Once the first challenge is successfully completed, the second will start. Upon completing that, the third and final challenge will commence.
For each of the three challenges, bonuses will be unlocked for successful completions until the end of the event. There are also bonuses within the current task that help complete the challenge.
Although the challenges bear the names of the different teams, all tasks are to be solved by all trainers, regardless of their team.
Course of the event “United Triumph”
Global Challenge Team Courage: In the first global challenge, a total of 75,000,000 members of Team GO Rocket must be defeated.
To make this goal easier to achieve, more Team GO Rockets will appear at PokéStops and more Rocket Balloons will be visible during the challenge.
If the global challenge is successfully completed, there will be a limited research task for all trainers, where Ponita wearing an accessory styled like Candela will be the reward. This Pokémon can also appear as Shiny.
Furthermore, there will be double the amount of experience points for spinning PokéStops until the end of the event, and the next global challenge will be launched.
Global Challenge Team Intuition: In this challenge, trainers worldwide must collectively hatch 20,000,000 eggs.
Within the challenge, eggs placed in incubators during the event will require only half the distance to hatch. Additionally, the following Pokémon can be found in 7-km eggs:
- Sleima with party hat*
- Schneckmag*
- Bummelz with visor*
- Leufeo*
- Koalelu*
- Togedemaru*
For the successful completion of this challenge, there will be another limited research task. Here, you will receive an Elekid with an accessory styled like Spark as a reward. This Pokémon can also be found as Shiny.
Moreover, until the end of the event, there will be double Stardust when you hatch eggs. In addition, the last global challenge will be launched.
Global Challenge Team Wisdom: In the final global challenge, a total of 35,000,000 field research tasks must be successfully completed.
While the challenge is active, there will be event-related field research tasks. In these tasks, you may encounter the following Pokémon:
- Feurigel*
- Tanhel*
- Galapaflos*
- Flapteryx*
- Piccolente*
- Emolga*
- Zapplardin*
- Viscora*
- Krabbox*
- Zwieps
If this global challenge is completed, there will be another limited research task as a reward. In this, you can receive Lapras with an accessory styled like Blanche. This Pokémon can also be obtained as Shiny with some luck.
Moreover, until the end of the event, there will be two guaranteed XL candies for evolving Pokémon.
All Pokémon marked with a * can also be encountered in their Shiny form.
Other contents of the event: During the event, there will also be PokéStop showcases, where you can participate with Pokémon from the event.
You can purchase a ticket for the event in the Pokémon GO web store or in the in-game store for €5.99, where you will receive a limited research task. This includes two premium battle passes, a rocket radar, a super incubator, a lure module, and additional encounters with Pokémon from the event.
If you purchase the ticket in the web store, you will also receive an incubator as a bonus.
