In Pokémon GO you will soon be able to obtain a new powerful attacker. However, it may become very difficult to level up the monster.
What kind of monster is it? Endynalos, the strong legendary monster from Generation 8, will soon make its debut in Pokémon GO. You will receive the monster at the Double Event Darkness and Dyna-Finale, which starts on August 18, 2025.
Previous leaks already suggest that Endynalos may be one of the new top attackers. There is now new information from data mining. And it shows that leveling up the legendary monster may be quite lengthy and costly.
Up to 890 XL Candy – for one level
How expensive will leveling up be? According to information from a new data mining, which can be found on Reddit, increasing the level from 40 to 50 could be quite expensive. If one trusts this leak, the costs for the last 10 levels of the monster are as follows:
- Level 41: 100 XL Candy
- Level 42: 100 XL Candy
- Level 43: 200 XL Candy
- Level 44: 200 XL Candy
- Level 45: 400 XL Candy
- Level 46: 400 XL Candy
- Level 47: 635 XL Candy
- Level 48: 635 XL Candy
- Level 49: 890 XL Candy
- Level 50: 890 XL Candy
You will need a whopping 4,450 XL Candy to raise Endynalos from level 40 to level 50. If these costs do not change, it will take a while to bring the monster to its maximum level.
Are these values final? No. Since this is only information from a leak, these values should be taken with caution. Although data mining leaks have often produced accurate information in the past, it is quite possible that the values will be adjusted before Endynalos officially appears in the game.
How do I get XL Candy? At the Darkness Event, you can obtain not only Endynalos itself but also candies for the powerful monster. Both rewards await you in the GO Pass, for which you must complete various tasks such as catching Pokémon or raids to earn points and level up the GO Pass.
Additionally, you can challenge and defeat Endynalos in its Gigantamax form at the Dyna-Finale on Saturday, August 23, 2025, and Sunday, August 24, 2025. While you cannot obtain additional copies of the monster here, you will have the opportunity to snag more candies.
Furthermore, like with all Pokémon, you have the option to convert regular candies into XL Candy or take Endynalos as a buddy and gain XL Candy by walking with your buddy XL Candy.
As this monster is a legendary, you will need to walk 20 km to have a chance at obtaining a single XL Candy.
