This positive aspect can quickly turn negative for some trainers when you “have to” walk for something to happen. This is the case when hatching eggs.
Hatching Eggs While Sitting
In Pokémon GO, you can receive 3 different types of eggs as loot that you must hatch to receive a Pokémon as a reward. The 3 different egg types differ in the kilometers you need to walk before the egg hatches. There are categories of 2 kilometers, 5 kilometers, and 10 kilometers. The creative minds among Pokémon trainers have been searching for days for “THE” solution that makes hatching the eggs possible without having to move a lot. There have already been ideas where one placed the smartphone on a turntable and let it spin in circles or used a toy train to which the phone was attached. An even better method is the combination with a remote-controlled car.
The YouTuber Theibault deals with remote-controlled cars in many of his YouTube videos and has now combined this hobby with Pokémon GO. The good thing about this method is that the phone travels further distances with the toy car than if it were placed on a turntable. The GPS detection in Pokémon GO requires long, preferably straight paths for these routes to contribute to hatching the eggs. Additionally, you should not go faster than about 20 km/h for the hatching to be successful.
If you don’t have a remote-controlled car, you could ask a Pokémon taxi driver if he could possibly drive slowly along country roads or parking lots.
