In Pokémon GO the Egg Event 2019 has started. We tell you what Shinys, quests, and bonuses await you.
How long is the Egg Event running? The event started yesterday, on April 16. It runs now through Easter until April 23.
This is what the event brings: There are two new Shinys and lots of bonuses in the event. So there are changed 2km eggs and special egg quests to solve.
What’s in the Egg Event 2019
What are the Shinys? Shiny Haspiror has already been announced for the event. This has now also been confirmed in the game. In addition, the first players have hatched Shiny Fluffeluff from eggs.
These bonuses are available: There are numerous bonuses around eggs that you can collect. This includes:
- Double candy for hatching eggs
- Incubators hatch at double speed
- Lucky Eggs last for one hour instead of 30 minutes
- Other Pokémon hatch from 2km eggs
- 3 special field research tasks related to eggs are active for the event
Is it worth hatching eggs? The egg pool of the 2km eggs has been changed. This makes these eggs even more interesting. In addition, you receive double candy from the eggs. There won’t be a better time to hatch eggs. So it’s worth hatching the 10km eggs again.

These field researches are available: There are 3 new field researches for the event. They all revolve around hatching eggs.

- Reward: Encounter with an Azumarill
- Hatch 5 eggs
- Reward: Encounter with a Chaneira
What can be found in the wild? The wilderness is full of Haspiror! The rabbit Pokémon is currently spawning frequently. Additionally, Voltilamm and its evolutions are significantly more common in the wild.
In addition, Pokémon like Owei, Kokowei, Chaneira, or Marill appear more frequently in the wild.
