In Pokémon GO the mysterious Pokémon Eevee poses some puzzles, as it can evolve from its basic form into Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon. But how can you influence the evolution of this creature? We have the solution to the riddle!

This adorable little creature can evolve into three different forms and thus become a particularly strong monster. The three evolutionary forms are:
All three Pokémon are very strong, but how does the evolution of Eevee proceed? Are there ways to influence and manipulate this? Three major theories are currently circulating on this topic.
Eevee Evolution – Theory 1 – Teamwork
A very common and plausible theory regarding the evolution of an Eevee is that the Pokémon’s evolution is related to the team affiliation of the player. The yellow Jolteon would be for Team Instinct, the blue Vaporeon for Team Wisdom, and the red Flareon for the members of Team Valor. Thus, the respective creatures would exist ONLY for the members of the corresponding teams.
Eevee Evolution – Theory 2 – Special Attacks
A slightly more complex theory suggests that an Eevee evolves into a different form depending on its learned special attacks. Eevee has three to choose from, and depending on whether you teach it one of them, it will evolve into the elemental form associated with that attack:

Eevee Evolution – Theory 3 – Habitat
Even weirder is the last major Eevee evolution theory. According to this idea, the evolution of the creature depends solely on in which location area you give Eevee the command to evolve. The locations of Pokémon species are all assigned to a type, which correspond to the potential elements:
Flareon (Fire): Residential areas and settlements
Vaporeon (Water): Swimming pools, lakes, and rivers
Jolteon (Electric): Industrial areas and factories

All three theories sound plausible, but apparently none of them really holds true. As emerges from a lively discussion on Reddit , the evolution of Eevee seems to be completely left to chance. So far, none of the theories has been confirmed, and some users have even made contrary experiences. It is probably best to catch as many Eevees as possible and just evolve them until you get your desired Pokémon. Since Eevees only need 25 candies for evolution, this should go quite quickly, and no matter which evolution you get, they are all strong!
