What are Dyna battles? The new Dyna battles have been available in Pokémon GO since September 10, 2024. That’s when the event “GOgantisch” in Pokémon GO started.
The power sources have now been occupied by the first Dyna bosses, after they were empty before and only had Dyna particles for you.
However, you can also enter the duels now. We summarize some important things that you should keep in mind regarding this feature.

1. How do I play a Dyna battle? Go to a power source where a boss is sitting. You can find these in the “Nearby” screen of Pokémon GO in a new tab.
To participate, you need the corresponding Dyna particles as well as three Pokémon for the battle. At least one of them must be able to use a Dynamax form.
Up to four players can play together, but you can also compete with fewer players. If you lose early, you can cheer on the other players until the end of the battle and thus reinforce them.
During the battle, you fill a bar that allows you to perform the Dynamaxing.
2. Are there Dyna battles as remote raids? No, you must compete on-site.
3. Who are the Dyna bosses? Currently, they are Glumanda, Bisasam, Schiggy, Wolly, and Raffel.
4. Are these Dyna bosses difficult? As of now, you can easily defeat Glumanda, Bisasam and Schiggy solo with Wolly or Raffel from your research. More difficult bosses are expected to come – the first is already coming in the Psycho-Spektakel event.
5. Can Dyna Pokémon be shiny? Yes, Dyna Pokémon can be shiny. As always, luck is required.
6. How many Dyna particles do I need? This varies based on the boss strength, but for the currently available bosses, 250 Dyna particles apply. These are only consumed when you have won the battle.
7. Which Pokémon can I dynamax? Currently, you can only dynamax Pokémon that come from a Dyna battle, or a few Pokémon that you obtained through research or rewards, like Wolly and Raffel from the special research “Dynasty!”.
8. What are the rewards for Dyna battles? These include items such as Golden Raspberries, instant and charge TMs, special candies, and other items, like revives. Players in the community also reported that XL special candies may be included.
9. Why should I leave a Pokémon after the battle? You can leave Pokémon at the power source after defeating the boss. For this, all other players who compete at the power source receive a bonus for the battle. Also, you get candies when your stationed Pokémon help in battles.
