With a modification in Pokémon GO you can see Ditto.
In the popular mobile game Pokémon GO, you can already catch many rare Pokémon, but Ditto is still not among them. The special thing about Ditto is that it can change its form and thus adapt visually as well as in terms of attacks to its opponent. Although Ditto is not one of the legendary Pokémon, it cannot currently be caught in Pokémon GO like Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Mewtwo, and Mew.
Ditto in Pokémon GO
On YouTube, a video by FrozenAquaCat has now surfaced that shows Ditto appearing in the game. To achieve this, the YouTuber only had to change a few numbers. In the Pokédex, the Pokémon Caterpie has the number 13, and Ditto has the number 132. When a wild Pokémon appears and you begin the interaction with it, the game uses this number to display the “correct” Pokémon.
To get from Caterpie to Ditto, you just have to append a “2” to the ID of Caterpie, resulting in ID 132. With the help of certain software, you can then insert this code into the game. After FrozenAquaCat did this, although you initially see a Caterpie on the map, a Ditto appears during the interaction. Unfortunately, there isn’t much to be gained with this modification, as the game crashes as soon as you try to throw a PokéBall.
We advise you against attempting this modding in any way.
