The Ditto list in Pokémon GO has grown once again. 7 more Pokémon can now also transform into Ditto.
Which Pokémon are involved? The monsters come from various generations and can be found quite commonly:
- Horlilu
- Webarak
- Hoppspross
- Samurzel
- Bidiza
- Camaub
- Eneco
So if you’re still looking for a Ditto, you have better chances now, as some of the monsters can be found around almost every corner.
Finding Ditto – Everything You Need to Know
Why are there new Ditto Pokémon? Recently, the Ditto list has been significantly reduced. Pokémon like Zubat, Yanma, or Wiesor have been removed, because they can now appear as Shiny.
There are no Shiny Pokémon that can also become Ditto. There is still no Shiny Ditto in the game and it would be very frustrating if a rare Shiny suddenly turns into Ditto.
What else do you need Ditto for? The Pokémon is part of some special research tasks. So if you’ve just started and need to complete the quests with Meltan or Mew , you can now look forward to more opportunities with Ditto.
Otherwise, there are still field research tasks where you need to catch a Ditto. These only reward you with items and no Pokémon encounters.
Can you recognize Ditto? When you’re on the catch screen, you cannot recognize Ditto. You must first catch the Pokémon. A good hint that it might be a Ditto could be that the Pokémon in question is harder to catch than you expected.
So if there is a Hornliu with 200 CP in front of you, but it breaks out of some Pokéballs, it could be a Ditto. The transformable Pokémon is not that easy to catch.
