Pokémon GO brings the Community Day Classic with Squirtle in July. But not only the regular Squirtle is available.
What is the Community Day Classic? As with the regular Community Day, a special Pokémon is in the spotlight for three hours. The difference is that this is a Pokémon that has already had a Community Day.
In July, the event monster will be Squirtle – and its special sunglasses form will also be available again. Additionally, it will bring you some bonuses as well.
When does the Community Day Classic start? The event with Squirtle starts on Sunday, July 9 at 2:00 PM local time. It will run until 5:00 PM.

What does the Community Day Classic bring? The main bonus is that Squirtle will spawn everywhere in the game. So you have a very good chance of getting a strong specimen, or even special sizes that could help you in showcases once they arrive.
Can Squirtle be shiny? Yes, it can, and during the Community Day there is an increased chance of shiny Squirtles. This is what it looks like:
Special Squirtle for the C-Day: You also have a chance to encounter Squirtle with sunglasses – they will be available in field research tasks. This means: a very popular event monster is finally returning and will also be available as shiny.
Further bonuses for the Community Day Classic:
- Blastoise learns the charged attack Hydro Cannon upon evolution. This makes it a strong attacker in Pokémon GO – especially thanks to its Mega Evolution.
- Eggs will hatch four times faster if you place them in the incubator during the event.
- Lures and incense will last three hours during the event.
- Snapshot surprises.
- There is a 1-Euro research in the shop.
