In Pokémon GO the voting for the Community Days in June and July is currently running. Half of the election is over – time for an interim report.
What kind of election is this? The two Community Days in June and July do not have a designated Pokémon yet. Instead, the trainers will again determine which monsters should be the focus of the two events. Four monsters are available for selection:
- Squirtle
- Butterfree
- Gastly
- Sandshrew
The voting started on Saturday night to Sunday at 03:00 AM. It lasts exactly 24 hours. Until then, you can cast your vote. And the current numbers already paint a fairly clear picture of which monsters we can expect in June and July.
Your favorites are leading – voting ends in 12 hours
This is what the voting looks like: As of now (Sunday, 3:00 PM), two monsters are comfortably in the lead. They are Butterfree (about 34% of the votes) and Gastly (about 32% of the votes).
These two monsters also topped our pre-vote on MeinMMO, where you could indicate your favorites. At least Squirtle (about 23%) still has a chance to catch up. Sandshrew is lagging in fourth place (about 11%).
The voting is now halfway completed, over 550,000 players have already voted via Twitter. Unless there is an extreme turnaround throughout the day, Butterfree and Gastly will probably be the event monsters at the upcoming Community Days.
If Butterfree and Gastly ultimately win, you can expect the following special attacks:
- Butterfree’s final evolution, Beedrill, will learn the Ground-type attack Drill Run.
- Gastly’s evolution Gengar would learn the Ghost-type attack Shadow Punch.
However, the voting is not finalized yet. If you want to ensure that either Squirtle or Sandshrew moves up into the top two spots, you have until 03:00 AM tonight to cast your vote. Currently, the Community Day in May is still ongoing. Here, the Pokémon Samurzel is front and center, which you can still encounter in abundance until 05:00 PM.
