Community Day January 2019 – Date and Info
Mark your calendars, because the next Community Day is starting soon.
When does the Community Day in January start? On Saturday, January 12, 2019, it kicks off. The event time, as usual, is from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
GMT+0? In the in-game announcement, Niantic states that the event time in Europe runs from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM UTC (GMT+0). Our time zone is GMT+1, which is why the Community Day will run as usual from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
What bonuses are there?
- The distance to hatch eggs in Pokémon GO will be reduced to a quarter
- Lures will last 3 hours instead of 30 minutes
- Croconaw will appear more frequently in the wild during the event
What special move is available? The special event move can be taught to Feraligatr. It is not yet known what move it is. If it goes as usual, Feraligatr will likely learn Hydro Pump. This attack was also learned by Blastoise.
Move can be learned after Community Day
To learn the special Community Day move, Croconaw must be evolved into Feraligatr during or after the event. Only then will you get Feraligatr with the special move. You will have until one hour after the end of the event during the Community Day in January 2019 to develop your Croconaw.
Shiny Croconaw
Typically, shiny forms of the event Pokémon also appear in-game on such a Community Day. Therefore, we show you a preview of Croconaw, Quilava, and Feraligatr in their normal and shiny forms.
In Pokémon GO you can now find these new raid bosses in the arenas
