2nd Community Day – Start Time – with Shiny Dratini?
On 02/24/2018, the second Community Day in Pokémon GO will take place, featuring the special Pokémon “Dratini”. The time is from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You will have only three hours to participate.
Can you participate in the event everywhere? So far, we can only rely on the experience from the first Community Day. There, trainers could participate in the event everywhere and find the special monsters. However, the chances were somewhat higher in parks.
During the first Community Day, we experienced that the special Pokémon (Pikachu) spawned particularly frequently, and there was also an increased shiny rate. During the event, you may not find Dratini as frequently as Pikachu during the first event. It is also not guaranteed that we will find shiny Dratini. While we and a large part of the community are counting on it, we can only confirm this officially during the event.
The bonuses that are active during the event will provide increased motivation:
- Lure modules last three hours instead of 30 minutes
- You will receive triple the amount of stardust for catching Pokémon

Event 2018 – Preparations for the 2nd Community Day
To ensure you are well prepared for February 24, you should make sure that you have enough Poké Balls in your inventory. So go gather beforehand to fill your supply with balls of all types. Stardust pieces can be well combined with the triple stardust amount per catch to earn even more of the coveted dust. In conjunction with incense, you can earn a lot of stardust during the event.
