In Pokémon GO, the Holiday Event is running, part 1. This brings a limited-time research where you can choose a path. What are the differences?
Here is a path choice: You will find the path choice in the current limited-time research. It is named exactly like the current event “Holiday Part 1.”
You will find the research if you first click on the binoculars icon in the bottom right and then scroll all the way to the left. However, the limited-time research is only available during the event – so you should hurry.
In total, the research consists of three steps. The path choice occurs when you have completed the first step. Then you can decide whether your research should revolve around Spark or Sierra.
Depending on your choice, the tasks and rewards differ. We summarize all of them for you here.
Holiday, Part 1 – Step 1/3 of the limited-time research
This step of the limited-time research applies to all players and leads you to the path choice. Complete the following tasks.

| Walk 2 km | Sankabuh |
Stage reward: Upon completing the stage, you will receive 1,000 Stardust and 1,000 XP. Additionally, the path choice between Spark and Sierra will now occur.

Holiday, Part 1 with Spark – Step 2/3 of the limited-time research

Stage reward: Encounter with Alola Vulpix and 2,000 XP.
Holiday, Part 1 with Spark – Step 3/3 of the limited-time research

| Catch 25 ice Pokémon | 10 Hyper Balls |
| Make 10 upgrades on ice Pokémon | 1 Golden Razz Berry |
| Collect Dyna particles from 3 power sources | 100 Dyna particles |
Stage reward: You will receive an encounter with Sankabuh, 3,000 XP and 2,000 Stardust. Also, for the final completion of the research, you will receive an additional 2,500 XP and 2,500 Stardust on top.

Stage reward: Here, too, you will receive an encounter with Sankabuh, 3,000 XP and 2,000 Stardust. The finale also brings 2,500 XP and 2,500 Stardust.
