At this year’s Pokémon GO Fest, there is a research theme where you must choose between Shield and Sword. We will show you what the differences are.
If you have purchased the ticket for the GO Fest 2025, you will receive a branching research upon the start of the event. This is titled Hero’s Journey. In this, you must choose a path after the first step: Shield or Sword.
Depending on which path you choose, you will receive enough energy for either Zacian or Zamazenta to undergo the form change that brings you a new adventure effect.
We have summarized the tasks and rewards that await you in each path.
Hero’s Journey – Step 1/6
This step of the research leads you to the path choice. Complete the following tasks.

Stage Reward: Upon completing the stage, you will also receive 2,025 Stardust, 3 Super Potions, and 2,025 experience points. Furthermore, the path choice between Shield and Sword occurs now.
