Have you seen the special Pikachu? In Pokémon GO, the Pokémon Day is currently being celebrated.
For a limited time, a mini-event for Pokémon Day is taking place in Pokémon GO. On this occasion, you will find special Pikachu and new outfits in the game.
Pikachu with Hat – The Costume is Back
Since the night of December 27, reports of special Pikachu in the game have increased. They are wearing the party hat again and can be caught anywhere in the wild of Pokémon GO.
On February 27, the Pokémon Day is celebrated – also in Pokémon GO. The Pikachu with the colorful hat is expected to be available until February 28 (probably until 10:00 PM). In a tweet, the developers announced this mini-event.
We have already found these Pikachu variants with party hats in the game in the past.
- According to initial reports, the new Pikachu are supposed to master the Gift attack.
- Catching this special event Pokémon is also said to reward trainers with three times the amount of Stardust.
Shiny Pikachu at the Event
If you are lucky, you might find a Shiny Pikachu with a party hat. Many trainers have already confirmed on Reddit that the Shiny version is available in the wild.
For you trainers, this is a special incentive to go hunting for Pikachu now. An event Pikachu in its shiny form must not be missing in any Pokémon collection.
You can recognize the Shiny Pikachu because it is slightly darker in color. For safety, it will be represented with stars in the PokéDex and in the preview after capturing, so you won’t miss it.
Outfits, Alexa App, and Snapchat Filter
In the shop of Pokémon GO, you can now also find new retro outfits. These are designed in the style of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.
Users of Amazon Alexa and Google Home can look forward to a new Pokémon app. With it, you can talk to Pikachu in real-time. Unfortunately, the “Pikachu Talk” app is currently not available on the German Amazon website, but it is available on the Amazon.com variant.
If you take photos with the Snapchat app in the coming days, you can apply filters of the three starter Pokémon Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
After this event, all eyes are on the 3rd Community Day in Pokémon GO. Niantic has now announced the date, time, and the special Pokémon.
