October 31 in Pokémon GO will be interesting: You have a chance to collect rare special candies.
What kind of event is this? Currently, the second part of the Halloween event is running, which brings various bonuses since the beginning of the week. However, October 31 will unlock a special bonus that you should definitely take advantage of if you have the time.
What kind of bonus is this? On October 31, you will have the opportunity to get special candies and special candies XL when you catch costumed Pokémon. It’s crucial that you land good, great, or excellent throws – so aiming well is important.
However, there is a catch: The announcement states that you can receive “special candies or special candies XL when catching with a lot of luck.” The candies are therefore not guaranteed, and in fact seem to be very rare.
It’s unclear how many candies you will receive. What is clear, however, is that it is worth catching as many costumed Pokémon as possible. That way, you have more chances.
Why is this a good bonus?
Special candies and special candies XL can be used on any Pokémon to perform upgrades or pay for evolution. Especially for rare or legendary Pokémon, for which candies are hard to obtain, this can really pay off.
Especially the XL candies are usually hard to get. XL special candies would therefore be a pretty good item that you should secure if possible.
