The next monster debut in Pokémon GO has been announced in the form of a Dynamax battle day. And that is, well, trash.
What kind of event is this? The Dynamax battle day in Pokémon GO is similar to a raid day. The event runs for 3 hours. It takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
During this time, you not only benefit from some bonuses but can also challenge a new Gigantamax monster in high numbers and add it to your team if you successfully complete the battle.

What monster is making its debut? During the Dynamax battle day, you can obtain Deponitox in its Gigantamax form for the first time. The monster is a giant garbage bag. In its Gigantamax form, various items like a ship or even a house are part of the monster.
Deponitox is from Generation 5 and is of the Poison type. It is the evolution of Trubbish.
What weaknesses does the monster have? Gigantamax Deponitox has a weakness to attacks from the Ground and Psychic types. If you want to prepare with appropriate attackers for the battle, you should ideally level up Latios, Metagross, and Excadrill in their Dynamax forms.
As defenders, especially Zamazenta (King of the Shield) as well as Corviknight and Duraludon in their Dynamax forms are suitable. Keep in mind that you typically need a lot of trainers for Gigantamax battles to successfully complete this challenge.
What bonuses are available during the event? There are various bonuses that are active during the event as well as some bonuses that start on November 1, 2025, at 12:00 AM and are active until the end of the event at 5:00 PM.
Bonuses during the event:
- increased collection limit of 1,600 Dynamax particles
- Gigantamax battles occur at all energy sources
- energy sources refresh more frequently
- 8 times the amount of Dynamax particles from energy sources
- 2 additional special trades
- Remote raid limit increased to 20 (from November 1, 2025, at 1:00 AM to November 2, 2025, at 4:00 AM)
Bonuses starting at 12:00 AM:
- double the amount of Dynamax particles while walking
- 1/4 walking distance for Dynamax particles
Is there a time-limited research? Yes. There will be a time-limited research before the actual event, where you can earn a Dynamax Rotomurf, candies, and Dynamax particles. The research starts on October 27, 2025, at 6:00 AM. You have until the event starts on November 1, 2025, at 5:00 PM to complete the research.
Event ticket: For $4.99 (probably €5.49), you can also purchase an event ticket. This will grant you a time-limited research that must be completed during the event. If successful, you will receive a Dynamax mushroom, 25,000 experience points, and during the event, double the amount of experience points for Dynamax battles and an increased limit for Dynamax particles of 5,600.
