The 2nd part of this year’s Christmas event has been announced in Pokémon GO. And this part also brings you some interesting content.
What kind of event is this? In keeping with the Christmas season, Pokémon GO brings the Winter Holidays, which are divided into 2 events. While the 1st part of the event runs from December 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM to December 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the 2nd part takes place from December 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM to December 29, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
In the 2nd part of the event, you can expect an increased shiny chance for certain monsters. Additionally, there is a Pokémon debut as well as the chance to obtain powerful items by catching monsters.
Christmas Costumes and Gifts from Monsters
Which monster is making its debut? During the event, you can obtain Rolycoly in Pokémon GO for the first time. This monster comes from Generation 8 and is of the Rock type. For 25 candies, you can evolve it into Carkol and then for another 100 candies into Coalossal.
You can find this monster during the event in 1-star raids and, with a bit of luck, also in the wild.
What bonuses are there in the event? If you catch monsters in the wild during the event, you can receive items in the process. These include fast and charged TMs, silver pinap berries, golden razz berries, and even rare candies.
Moreover, the shiny chance for costumed Stantler and costumed Dedenne is increased. While you can find Dedenne somewhat less frequently in the wild, it is still unknown how you will obtain Stantler.
The GO Pass for the Winter Holidays, which starts in the 1st part of the event, is still active in the 2nd part.
