The new legendary boss Dialga challenges trainers in arenas of Pokémon GO. We will show you what you need to know to counter and defeat the boss.
Who is it? Dialga is a Steel and Dragon-type Pokémon. It forms the Temporal Trio together with Palkia and Giratina .
How strong is Dialga? As a raid boss, Dialga has 53,394 CP. After capture, it has 2,217 to 2,307 CP. With weather boost, it ranges from 2,771 to 2,884 battle points.
How many trainers do you need? If you have a very strong counter team and have already reached level 40, you could beat Dialga with two people. Weather boosts help a lot in this case. Without such a top team, you should be able to defeat Dialga with 3-7 people if you use counter Pokémon.
What counters should you use? Dialga is particularly vulnerable to Fighting and Ground-type Pokémon. The top counter is a Machoke with a moveset of Counter and Dynamic Punch.
However, even if you don’t have a Machoke, there are many other strong counters:
