Rustling leaves – What does that mean?
The rustling of leaves is probably familiar to some of you if you have played older Pokémon games. In this “tall grass,” wild Pokémon may be hiding. This does not mean that there is a wild Pokémon waiting for you there 100% of the time, just that there is a chance. However, it’s still worth checking, as the “effort” is usually very low if these grass clumps are on your path anyway.
Some players also believe that these grass clumps are meant to show you the general direction of a nearby Pokémon.

How do I catch a Pokémon in Pokémon GO and how do footprints help me?
Footprints in Pokémon GO help you a lot in tracking down various wild Pokémon – you just have to understand the system. Open the “Nearby” overview to see which Pokémon are in your vicinity. There are 3 types of footprints – With 3, 2, or 1 footprint. 3 footprints mean the Pokémon is farthest away, and 1 footprint means it is very close to your current location. The Pokémon in the top left has the shortest distance to you – the one in the bottom right is the farthest away.
If you want to catch the Bluzuk from this overview, you need to keep an eye on this “Nearby” map and check if the Bluzuk is moving further up to the left on the list or moving down to the right. You can also “highlight” a Pokémon by clicking on it – but you should only do this if it is already in the top position (top left) or has fewer than 3 footprints – so you can see changes better.
As you get closer to a Pokémon, the footprints reduce to 2 and 1 – if no footprints are showing anymore, you have tracked it down and it is in your immediate vicinity.
