In recent days, Pokémon GO trainers faced a very special challenge. The developers set a high catch goal, where the community was to catch 3 billion monsters in just a few days.
As a reward, a rare Pokémon and other interesting bonuses await.
3 billion caught, goal achieved – What bonuses?
The Pokémon GO team officially confirms that trainers have reached the big goal of three billion Pokémon catches on the morning of November 26. They are now unlocking Porenta worldwide for about 48 hours. Trainers in East Asia will find Kangama instead, as Porenta is already available in the wild there.
By reaching the gold goal, there are the following rewards in Pokémon GO for the next few days:
- Porenta with worldwide spawns – (until about November 28 – Exact time not yet confirmed)
- Kangama available in Asia – (until about November 28 – Exact time not yet confirmed)
- Double experience points
- Lure modules lasting six hours (instead of 30 minutes)
- Double Stardust rewards
The double experience points, extended lures, and 2x Stardust rewards will last until December 1, 2017. So make the most of the next few days and play Pokémon GO diligently to level up your Trainer level or simply collect plenty of Stardust.
You can earn even more experience points in combination with Lucky Eggs – then you’ll get quadruple the amount. The eggs will be available for a few more days in special packs in the Pokémon GO shop. The boxes will only be on the shelves of the in-game shop until December 4 – You can find these items in them.
